She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Lorenzo Waldrop and Eva Mae Wood Waldrop; her siblings, Thelma Leola Sims, Joseph Charles Waldrop, James Ralph, Paul Waldrop, John Thomas Waldrop, Henry Lee Waldrop and Horace Jessie Waldrop; her grandson Lance Bishop; and her son-in-law Frank Hensley.
She is survived by: her husband John A. Nix; her brother Lemuel Douglas Waldrop of Goldsboro, NC; her daughters, Sherry Ann Hensley of Zirconia and Theresa Ruth Leonhardt (Terry) of Black Mountain; her granddaughters, Melodie Edwards, Nicole Galladay and Eva Mays; her great grandchildren, Michaela Childers, Blake Bishop, Alexis Duffey, Waylon Lively and Tristan Mays; her great great grandchildren, Jaxton, Kayson Childers, Micah, Liberty, James Duffey and Briar Bishop; her aunt Mary Ellenburg; and her children, Gracie, Romans and Proverbs. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
