He was predeceased by: his parents, George Knight and Ruth Barnard Knight; and his son Frederick "Sonny" Gordon Knight, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Hayes Knight; and his sons, Christopher Scott Knight and Shelby Gene Knight.
