She was predeceased by: her father Ernest Joy Smith; her husband Jim Ray Carver; and her siblings, Bill Smith of Asheville and Joyce Johnson of Wilmington, Delaware.. She is survived by: her children, David Carver (Beth) of Hendersonville and Becky Staton (Lonnie) of LaGrange. She is also survived by her six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
