She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Parris and Birdell Rhodes Parris; her husband Robert Earl Norwood; and her sisters, Melba Gordon, Iris Pack, Irene Roper and Rita Justus.
She is survived by: her brothers, Nathan Parris, Grady Parris, Clarence Parris, Donald Parris, Fred Parris, Hugh "Tig" Parris, Ray Parris and Walter Parris; her daughters, Renée Norwood Baird of Hendersonville and Gina Leigh Norwood of Waynesville; and her grandchildren, Brandon Norwood Baird (Becca) and Taylor Renée Baird (Rhea Hyatt). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
