She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Allen and Eliza Allen; her husband Willie C. Brown; her siblings, Lois Allen, Ada Jones, Lillie Howard, Mary Ware, Bernice Mickler, Richard Allen, Jimmie Allen and Charles Allen, Jr.; her stepdaughter Odesa Young; and her granddaughter Carolyn Clark.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Easter; her daughter Francine Freeman (Charles); her stepchildren, Sallyann Hawkins (Leslie) and Jeffery Brown; and her brothers, William Allen (Roberta) and Sam Allen (Sheila). She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hill Street Baptist Church (135 Hillside St, Asheville, NC 28801).
