We are sad to announce that on January 6, 2025, at the age of 82, Elaine (Harrell) Mason of Hendersonville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Elaine may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Harrell and Doris Harrell (Randall); her husband Lawrence Mack Mason; her daughter Sharon D Mason; and her sister Christine Williams.
She is survived by: her daughter Laura McDaris (Doug); her sister Brenda H. Sanders; and her grandchildren, Lindy Wright (Jordan), Kateland Jones (Ryan) and Grant McDaris. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Sanctuary Groce Funeral Home (72 Long Shoals Rd, Arden, NC 28704). A graveside service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 3:15 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (1498 Sand Hill Rd, Candler, NC 28715).
