With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dwayne Smith of Hendersonville, North Carolina, born in Lumberton, North Carolina, who passed away on November 3, 2022 at the age of 73. He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Smith and Evelyn Smith; and his sister Bobbie Brim. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Smith; his children, Dee Hall (Ken) of Pinehurst, Jonathan Smith (Rebecca) of Lumberton and G. W. Mayo (Miranda) of Zirconia; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Santiago (Mitchell), Paisley Smith, Jordan Gilstrap, Mahaylee Mayo and Michael Mayo; his great grandchild Penelope Santiago; and his siblings, Reggie Smith (Brenda) of Lumberton, Jerry Smith of Lumberton and Dorothy Kinnaman (Bruce) of Hillsville, Virginia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
