It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Jean Toney of Hendersonville, North Carolina, who passed away on January 22, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ambrose Fortner and Della B. Fortner; her former husband William D. Toney; her boyfriend Gary Wade; her son Dan Dudley Toney; and her sister Norma Kratz.
She is survived by: her children, Wanda Gayle Shipman (Paul) of Saluda, Roger Toney of Hendersonville and Neal Toney (Camilla) of Muscle Shoals, AL; her grandchildren, Stephanie Massey (Dale), Kim Gould (Chris), Justin Toney, Nathan Patterson (Brittany), Shawn Toney, Aaron Toney, Noah Toney, Katy Beth Toney and Toney MacArthur; her great grandchildren, Troy Jackson, Kristina Jackson, Cameron Massey, Kayla Whitaker and Carter Garren; and her sister Earlene Cook.
