Diane Wells Obituary

Diane Wells, a beloved mother of three, passed away on Thursday, March 27th, at the age of 65, surrounded by her three children. Diane was adopted into the loving family of Ruby and Horace Buchanan. Her disposition and personality were one of open arms and smiles. Always making friends when the opportunity presented. Community driven, she helped run a non-profit animal business with her oldest son and spent her final years taking care of the elderly with in home healthcare. She and her beloved husband, Daniel Merzlak carved their path through life hand in hand. Daniel passed away on March 29, 2019. She found a deep fondness for gardening and the culinary arts. Her life growing up in the 60s was rich with friendship. Although she takes her memories, the happiness, the sadness, the frustration—with her. We will remember her for her character. A good character is the best tombstone. Those who loved you and were helped by you will remember you when forget-me-nots have withered. She carved her name on hearts, not on marble.
