He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Francis Marion and Grace Graves Huggins; his son David Kipling Huggins; his grandson Shane Kipper Ferguson; and his siblings, Anne Pressley, Frank Huggins, Charles Huggins and Elaine Barnwell.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Joyce Phillips; his children, Robin Ferguson (Chuck), Tamee Schofield (Chris) and Shaun Huggins (Lois); and his grandchildren, Zach Ferguson (Maegan), Whitney Barefoot (Jason), Heidi Schofield, Hannah Rodríguez (Jaime), Haley Bowman (Brian) and Hilary Schultz (Joey). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
