It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Cheryl Cuningham Lefler of Hendersonville, North Carolina, who passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alston Cabell Cuningham and Virginia Brennan Cuningham; her husband Billy James "BJ" Lefler; and her son Jack Gregory "Greg" Barnett. She is survived by: her children, Cindy Strickland and Mike Barnett (Cheryl); her brother Ken Cuningham (Judy); her grandchildren, Brittyn Johnson, Sarah Ashley Golob, Hunter Barnett and Jordan Dixon; and her great grandchildren, Graham and Dallas Johnson.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mills River United Methodist Church (137 Old Turnpike Rd, Mills River, NC 28759).
