He is survived by: his daughter Chloe of Hendersonville; his parents, Douglas Hertel and Deda Hagen Hertel of Fairview, NC; his brother Benjamin Hertel of Boone, NC; his grandparents, Janis Taylor of Bonita Springs, FL, Jane Hertel of Kaukauna, WI, Marlowe and Marilyn Taylor of Nashville, TN; and also Lindsey Ellis of Hendersonville. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
