It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlie Blayne Turner of Hendersonville, North Carolina, who passed away on October 18, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Parker Turner; his parents, Charlie B. Turner and Lola Arzie Strickland Turner; and his siblings, Mary Donnahoo, Ruth Smith, Luveniar Blackwell, Annette Holmes and Malcolm Turner.
He is survived by: his children, Dena Cosgrove of Laurel Park and Gary Turner (Pat) of Landrum; his brother Leslie Turner of Spartanburg; his stepdaughters, Cheryl Stahl of Hendersonville, Crystal Phillips of Mills River and Cathy Lucero of Simpsonville; his grandchildren, Cassie Cosgrove of Brooklyn, Kara Cosgrove of Hendersonville, Jake Cosgrove (Courtney) of Charlotte and Dr. Amy Turner (Charles Thomas) of Boston, Massachusetts; and his great grandchildren, Cedar, Max Frederiksen and Madeleine Turner Thomas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Western North Carolina Helene Disaster Relief through the First Baptist Church of Hendersonville.
