It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Brittain (Hendersonville, North Carolina), born in Gilmer, Texas, who passed away on October 28, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wendell Dibrell and Doris Crawford Dibrell; and her husband J. Lee Brittain, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Robin Williams (Matthew) of Fletcher, NC, Marc Brittain (Shelley) of Roseburg, OR, Marie Stinnett (Tim) of Hendersonville, NC and Anna Earley (James) of Mills River, NC.; and her sister Dianne Holden. She is also survived by loving grandmother to her nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made to The StoreHouse, a local food pantry (http://www.storehouseonline.org) or Project Linus, a charity Barbara supported for countless years, which provides handmade security blankets to children in need.
