With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anne Elizabeth Searcy Laughter (Hendersonville, North Carolina), who passed away on May 8, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeter Searcy and Pauline Searcy; her daughter Janet Darcell Laughter; and her siblings, Yates, J. P. "Bub", June Wright, Frances Capell and Johnny.
She is survived by: her husband Clarence N. Laughter, Jr.; her brother James "Jim" Searcy (Marie); her daughters, Shirley Hill (Ken) and Patsy McDaniel (David); her grandchildren, Keri Hill Shelton (Joel), K. Adam Hill (Connie), Joanna Hill Ashe (Graham), Matthew Phelan (Virginia) and Laura Phelan Black; and her great grandchildren, Colby, Graham, Scarlett Hill, Rami, Ada Shelton, Natalie Black, Eliza Grace Ashe and Harris Phelan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
