Steven Duane Appel Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven Duane Appel (Henderson, North Carolina), who passed away on March 21, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Joseph Appel and Dolly Watts Appel. He is survived by: his wife Wendy Percy Appel; his sons, Adam Appel of Apex and Sean Appel (Sonia) of Holly Springs; his grandchildren, Addison Appel, Austin Appel, Ava Appel and Zoe Appel; his siblings, Debbie A. Parrish (Clarence) of Youngsville, David Appel (Julia) of Youngsville, Mike Appel (Wanda) of Durham and Gary Appel of Florida; his mother-in-law Brenda Percy; and his brother-in-law Jeff Percy (Bree). He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews; and his lake family.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rock Spring Baptist Church (171 Rock Spring Church Rd, Henderson, NC 27537).
