Ruth Elyse Edwards Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Elyse Edwards of Henderson, North Carolina, who passed away on February 3, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Evelyn Knight Edwards and Edgar Marvin Edwards; and her sister Rebecca Edwards. She is survived by: her daughter Christine Ruth Edwards; her stepgrandchildren, Dylan Edwards, Hannah Edwards and Joshua Edwards; her niece Evelyn Hedrick; her nephew Brad Hedrick; her friends, Ray Patterson and Olga Palmer; the father of her children Greg Tapson; and her pets, Sage and Rosemary. She is also survived by four grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Clearview Church (3485 US-158 BUS, Henderson, NC 27537). A memorial service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Vance County Animal Shelter.
