She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle Fenner Fleming and Linda Wright Fleming; and her husband James "Jimmy" Gunter. She is survived by: her sons, Willie F. "Lee" Carroll III of Spruce Pine, Nicholas J. Gunter (Ashley) of Asheboro and Joshua Gunter of Rockwell; her grandchildren, Jessup Gunter, Jensen Gunter, Alexander J. Reid, Autumn D. Carroll, Natalie M. Carroll, Leanne R. Carroll, Jasper Gunter and Julianna Gunter; and her sister Karen F. Maynard (Jerry) of Afton.
