He was predeceased by: his parents, Janie Young Averette Nethery and James Woodrow Nethery, Sr.; and his sister Barbara Riggan. He is survived by: his wife Kay Nethery; his son Scott Nethery (Lisa) of Lewisville, NC; his grandchildren, Makayla Nethery, Michael Sipkay, Nicholas Sipkay and Elizabeth Sipkay; his son Patrick Nethery (Holly) of Wake Forest; his grandchildren, Ava Nethery, Lucas Nethery and Benjamin Nethery; and his sister Bettie N. Edwards of Henderson.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Central Baptist Church (2574 Ruin Creek Rd, Henderson, NC 27537). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church, 2574 Ruin Creek Rd, Henderson, NC 27537, in memory of Jim.
