She was predeceased by: her parents, Elba Spain Matthews and Malcolm Washington "Mike" Matthews; her husband Wallace C. Wilkerson; her sisters, Jewel M. McKay and Rachel M. Browning; and her son-in-law Jimmy Holt.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda W. Fitzgerald (Tom) of Townsville and Deborah W. Saunders of Torreveija, Spain; her sister Cramer M. Laws of Oxford; her grandchildren, Brian Watson (Stephanie) and Jamie Behrendt (Stefan); and her great grandchildren, Jordan Watson, Logan Blake, Jacob Watson, Trevor Holt and Mallory Holt. She is also survived by six great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rock Spring Baptist Church.
