With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Millard Garrett of Henderson, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 8, 2025 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Turner Garrett and Millard Blaine Garrett. He is survived by: his wife Edith Garrett Garrett; his sons, Charles Garrett, Jr. of Henderson, Randy Garrett (Sandy) of Henderson, Donald Sanford (Charlene) of Henderson and Tony Sanford (Tammy) of Henderson; his grandchildren, Anthony Sanford, Emily Patterson, Blair Sanford, Caleb Garrett and Jordan Wilder; and his siblings, Betty Smith (Douglas) of Henderson and Harold Garrett (Joan) of Texas. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Union Chapel Church of Kittrell (6479 Raleigh Rd, Kittrell, NC 27536). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
