He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Juanita Brown and Ernest Leroy Bracken; and his siblings, Willie Wayona White, Treva Jo Johnson, Ernest Leroy Bracken, Jr. and Claude David Bracken.
He is survived by: his significant other Clara Alice Pickett Bracken; his children, Anjelika Carol B. Chapman of Henderson, Juanita Aventine "Vera" Helton of Castle Rock, CO, Alberta Lorraine Magedanz of Auburndale, FL, Charles Lesley Bracken, Jr. of Wilson and Martin Nathaniel Bracken of Frostproof, FL.; and his siblings, Vera Elaine Cleveland of Brevard, Mittie Elmyra Shelton of Frostproof, FL, Linda Kay Walker of Frostproof, FL, Wilfred Eugene Bracken of Soddy-Daisy, TN and James Floyd Bracken of Lake Wales, FL. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery (1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404).
