She was predeceased by: her parents, Zacheriah J. D. Oakley and Goldie A. Oakley; her son Robert Satterwhite Jr.; and her siblings, Joan Dingman and Cleve Dallas Oakley.

She is survived by: her daughter Darlene Parrish; and her sisters, Kaye Renn Ayscue (John), Izona Perry (Charlie) and Faye Hull (Don). She is also survived by three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
