We bid farewell to Bonnie Brooks Swilley of Henderson, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 17, 2025 at the age of 85. Bonnie Brooks touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Acie Winship Brooks and Essie "Elizabeth" Martin Brooks; and her husband John. She is survived by: her sons, Daniel Emmett Swilley (Teresa) of Henderson and Jay Patrick Swilley (Marie) of Wake Forest; her granddaughters, Lauren Elizabeth Swilley, Lindsey Danielle Swilley and Evin Swilley Peoples (James); and her siblings, John Brooks (Rhonda), Janice Heffner and Nancy Byrd (Ron). She is also survived by her two nieces, one nephew.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the J. M. White Funeral Home (60 Zeb Robinson Rd, Henderson, NC 27536). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church, 2574 Ruin Creek Rd, Henderson, NC 27537.
