He is survived by: his wife Susan Diane Ashley Rhodes of Hays; his children, Jerry Allen Ball of Purlear and Karen Diane Spriggs of Hays; and his siblings, Tommy Lee Rhodes, Kenneth Ray Rhodes (Debra), Paul Eugene Rhodes, Jr. (Debbie), James Curtis Rhodes (Terry), Sandra Gayle Byrd and Vickie McGrady. He is also survived by Nine grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.
