He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex "A. C." Blevins and Velma Byrd Blevins. He is survived by: his wife Susie Brooks Byrd; his children, Roxanne Hawkins (Tim) of Ellenboro and Michael Byrd (Julie) of Wilkesboro; his grandsons, Ethan Hawkins (Ashley) of Gastonia, Logan Hawkins (Logan Tanner) of Gastonia and Alex Byrd (Hailey Brown) of Wilkesboro; and his great grandchildren, Aiden and Addyson.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Chapel (180 Sparta Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659).
