She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Roten and Gladys Pauline Royal Roten; her brothers, Roy Lee Roten, Troy Roten and Bryan Roten; and the father of her children Roy Lee Whitley.
She is survived by: her husband Scott Cothren of Hays; her children, Stephanie LeAnn Rhodes of North Wilkesboro, Jenna Renae Church of Hays, David Lee Church of Hays, Jericho Lee Whitley of North Wilkesboro and Jacob Roy Whitley of Hays; and her siblings, Jeff Roten of North Wilkesboro, Johnny Roten of North Wilkesboro, Michael Roten of North Wilkesboro, Cynthia Cleary of North Wilkesboro and Sue Stone of North Wilkesboro. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
