It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steve Cottrell (Hayesville, North Carolina), born in Henderson, North Carolina, who passed away on September 23, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel Stephen Cottrell Sr. and Oretha Louise Avery Cottrell. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Cottrell; his daughter Laura Cottrell of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Rachel Cottrell, Zach Cottrell, Drew Cottrell, Josh Cottrell and Adam Cottrell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Steve Cottrell to the Hayesville High School "Do It Right Scholarship Fund", 205 Yellow Jacket Drive, Hayesville, NC 28904.
