He was predeceased by: his parents, William Fred and Annie Ruth Roach McCray; and his brothers, Robert and Charles McCray. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn McCray; his stepson Michael Barnett (Anne) of Hayesville; and his nephew Anthony McCray. He is also survived by aunt, several uncles, and many cousins; and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Ray McCray to the Fires Creek Cemetery Fund, 448 Rebel Lane, Hayesville, NC 28904.
