It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Katherine Mixon of Hayesville, North Carolina, born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who passed away on March 23, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Mary Katherine shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Mary Katherine farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Murphy and Mary Alice Overstreet Mixon; her sister Dorothy; and her brother-in-law Mercer Davis. She is survived by: her niece Elizabeth Davis; and her nephew Thomas Davis. She is also survived by several special friends and caregivers.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church (495 Herbert Hills Dr, Hayesville, NC 28904).
