He was predeceased by: his parents, Lori Coffey and R. B. Coffey; and his brothers, Clayton, Junior, Jerry and Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his daughters, Selena Coffey of Fletcher, N. C. and Robin Kimsey; his son-in-law Brian Kimsey of Bishop, G. A.; his grandchildren, Lauren, Anna, Brice and Cooper; his siblings, Barbara Davenport, Sue McClure (Joe), Eddie Coffey and Ronnie Coffey (Jackie); and his sister-in-law Debi Coffey.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be made to Four Seasons Hospice (571 S. Allen Rd., Flat Rock, N.C. 28731) in Howard's name.
