He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Edward Halsey and Lillian Catherine Morouney Halsey; his siblings, Phyllis Fansler, Patricia Stafford, Lois Cooke, Jack Halsey and Quenton Halsey; his former wife Arlene Bjorkman Halsey; his son Scott Halsey; and his grandson Scott Hasley Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Nina Halsey of Hayesville, NC; his children, Buck Jones of Hiawassee, GA, Harold Halsey (Linda) of Blairsville, GA, Colleen Mangifesta (Tom) of Blairsville, GA and Kathleen Romero of Nevada, MO; and his grandchildren, William Junkin, Christopher Sloan, Katie Mullins, Jolene Lewis, Jennifer Castro, Calli Wyatt, Kendal Romero, Carl Halsey and Brian Halsey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tunnells to Towers or to Wounded Warrior.
