He was predeceased by: his father Charles Marvin McTaggart; his wife Wanda Kay Trout McTaggart; and his brother Charles "Sonny" McTaggart. He is survived by: his mother Hilda Leatherwood of Murphy; his son Dwayne McTaggart (Brandie); his grandsons, Jake McTaggart of Hayesville, Austin of Hayesville and Elijah Trusty of Hayesville; his son Shane McTaggart (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Zane of Simpsonville and Maddison of Simpsonville; and his sister Linda Scalzo of Marble. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
