It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Jean Chance of Hayesville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 15, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Conley Teems and Georgia Watkins Teems; her husband Ebb Chance; her son James Edgar Chance; her siblings, Tommy, Harry, Allen, Robert Teems and Barbara Brumley; and her grandchildren, Jamie and Justin Chance.
She is survived by: her son Julius Chance (Kay); her brothers, Donald Teems (Faye) and Leon Teems (Brenda); and her grandchildren, Sherry Neal (Tony), James Chance (Nellie) and Tabitha Haney. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
