She was predeceased by: her parents, Mirl Chance and Lena McCray Chance; her spouse Thomas Roach; her son-in-law Larry Shelton; and her brothers, Howard, Everett, Kenneth and Floyd Chance.
She is survived by: her brother Richard Chance; her children, Audrey Shelton, Gail Lands (Tony) and Johnny Roach (Joan); her grandchildren, Candy Kirby (Benny), Haley Jones (Justin), Clancy Shelton and Cordell Lands (Brandi); her great grandchildren, Bronson Kirby (Jill), Fionnah Shelton, Taytem and Colsen Lands; and her great great grandchild Eden Kirby.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fires Creek Baptist Church (73 Hiawassee St, Hayesville, NC 28904). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
