With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vass Alexander Barbour Jr. of Haw River, North Carolina, who passed away on May 31, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Julie Partin Barbour; his parents, Vass E. Barbour and Ruth Carroll Barbour; and his siblings, Mary Franklin, Margaret Crabtree, Betty Perkinson and George Barbour.
He is survived by: his children, Vicki McPherson (Tom) of Elon, Joni Newell (Tim) of Wendell, Andrea Johnson of Cullowhee and Eric Barbour (Brenda) of Mebane; and his grandchildren, Chaetan Newell, Cole Johnson, Tanner Johnson, Kyler Johnson, Clay McPherson, Amanda Hurlocker and Rebecca Barbour. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
