She was predeceased by: her parents, Jahu Whitmore and Pearl Thaxton Whitmore; her siblings, James William Whitmore, Cleophas Whitmore, Ralph Packingham, Ronald Whitmore, Donald Whitmore, Dorothy Enoch, Reba Bradsher and Christine Packingham; and her grandchild Courtney Summers.
She is survived by: her sons, Edward Degraffenried Jr. (Sandra), Maurice Degraffenried, Gregory Degraffenried and Phillip Degraffenried; her stepsons, Bernard Garner and James Garner (Sapphire); and her sister-in-law Iona Whitmore. She is also survived by two grandchildren, four step grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
