She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Lum Hardin Holyfield; her son John Wade Holyfield; her parents, Wade York and Louannie York of Liberty; her daughters, Carlene H. Brown (Odiss) of Liberty and Treva H. Gerner (Bob) of Burlington; her grandchildren, Larry Brown of Liberty, Ronald Lee Brown (Tina) of Liberty and Angie Brown Melton (Joe) of Liberty; and her siblings, Henry York of Sophia, NC, Clatie Patterson of Liberty, Dorothy Boggs of Liberty, Kathleen Shaw of Staley, Maggie Williamson, Lucy Jane York, Charlie "Sarge" York, Edgar York and Jimmy York. She was also cherished by Six great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren and 1 step great great grandchild.
