He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Dual Thomas Smith; his parents, Percy E. Smith and Bettie Terry Smith; and his children, Steve Smith of Charlotte, Mike Smith of Haw River, Judy Bradshaw and Douglas Smith. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
