He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Mebane Dixon and Mozelle Isley Dixon; his sister-in-law Dolores Cole Smith (John Walter Smith); his nieces, Connie Smith Stanek and Tracy Smith; his nephew John W. Smith, Jr.; his nephew-in-law Danny A. Stanek; and his niece-in-law Vickie Johnson Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Freddie Lou Cole Dixon; his great-niece Stacie Anderson; his great-nephews, Greg Smith (Gail), Ben Smith and Scott Smith (Zana); his aunt Edna Lou Frank; and also, Delany, Eli, Gabriel and Ryan.
