She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Gerches and Sophie Gerches; her brother Rich Gerches (Betty); and her friend Lloyd Witting. She is survived by: her siblings, Robert Russell Gerches (Lynn) of Ft. Myers, FL and Joan Santis (Dean) of Mount Vernon, IA.; her children, Sandy Arturi (Frank) of Havelock, NC, Cindy Witting (Glen Bell) of Agua Dulce, CA and Mike Witting (Amy) of Sarasota, FL.; and her husband Lloyd.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Lu's name to the American Cancer Society, as this was a cause that was very important to her.
