He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Coni Diederich Cross of Goldsboro, NC, Christopher Diederich of Sneads Ferry, NC and Greta Diederich Wicks of Greenville, NC.; his great grandchildren, Parker, Taylor, Rylee, Avery, Connor and Cooper; and his sisters, Marlene Diederich Buckle of Carmichael, CA and Ann Diederich Schrock of Tempe, AZ..

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation in Don's name be made to Ronald McDonald House of Eastern North Carolina at 529 Moye Blvd, Greenville, NC 27834.
