It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Larue Whiteman of Havelock, North Carolina, who passed away on December 14, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Loht and Rebecca Loht; her husband Joseph Whiteman; her sisters, Mary Ellen Beatty and Shirley Snook; and her granddaughter Rebecca.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Willis (Ronnie) of Newport, NC and Daniel Whiteman (Cynthia) of Florida; her siblings, Philip Loht (Betty), Pat Loht (Elizabeth), Karen Rubican and Jean Rutter; her grandchildren, Zachary (Ashley), Jacob and Danél (Michael); and her great grandchildren, Ashton, Kora and Michael.
A memorial service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Munden Funeral Home & Cremations (908 Lake Rd, Havelock, NC 28532).
