He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva B. Parrish and Aubrey R. Safrit; his daughter Janet Safrit Helms; and his brother Elmer Glenn Safrit. He is survived by: his wife Martha S. Safrit; his daughter Renay Dunlap (Everette); and his grandchildren, Devin Andrew Helms, Erica and Kelly Dunlap.
