She was predeceased by: her father Truman Shepard; her daughter Heather Pasley; and her nephew Samuel Brake. She is survived by: her husband Phillip Meeks; her daughter Faye Simon (Michael); her stepchildren, Stephanie Meeks, Ashley George (Prad) and Tyler Meeks; her siblings, Cynthia Shepard, William Shepard (Karla) and Alisa Brake (Jonathan); and her pets, Angel Joy and Daisy Mae. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandchildren.

Donations in Kathy's honor can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
