She was predeceased by: her father Walter "Scotty" Mead; and her grandfather Harold. She is survived by: her husband Dale Smith; her children, Sara Bennett (Ryan) of Elon, NC, Ryan Smith of Concord, NC and Heather Smith (Landon Simmons) of Concord, NC; her grandchildren, Trevor and Easton Bennett; her mother Joyce Mead (Johnson) of Jamestown, NY; and her sisters, Susan, Barbara Foulk and Christine Reed (James). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
