She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hade Swindal and Inez Tanner Swindal; her former husband Doyce Reginald Thompson; her husband John Ambrose Jenkins; and her siblings, William Nelson Swindal and Laura Pauline Swindal Weaver.
She is survived by: her children, Beth Thompson-Peace of Concord, James Thompson and Michael Thompson (Joyce); her sister Elizabeth Irene Swindal Guthrie; and her granddaughters, Madison Peace, Reagan Peace, Meaghan Thompson-Slappey (Stephen), Jordan Thompson and Sarah Thompson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
