She was predeceased by: her husband William; her parents, Fred Slack and Hetty Slack; and her siblings, Muriel Kissam and William Slack.

She is survived by: her children, Debra Casasanta of Charlotte and Keith Casasanta (Brenda) of Gastonia; her grandsons, Adam Schnier of Charlotte and Evan Casasanta (Olivia); her great grandchildren, Parker and Teddy of Concord, NC.; and her sister Ethelyn Clearwater of Newburgh, NY.
