It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward McCoy Askew of Harrellsville, North Carolina, who passed away on June 2, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lattice Askew, Sr. and Katherine Simon Askew. He is survived by: his daughters, Wilma Askew King of Durham, NC and Machelle Askew Reid (Edward Bernard Reid, Jr.) of Triangle, VA; and his sister Gloria V. Askew of Brooklyn, NY. He is also survived by five grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
