He is survived by: his sons, Jonathan Melvin Powell of Willard and Grant Lee Powell of Harrells; and his siblings, Betty Wilson (Dural) of Turkey, Mary Powell (Joe) of Watha, Ray Powell of Harrells, Jimmy Powell (Loretta) of Harrells and Charles Powell (Karen) of Harrells. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
